Behind the Scenes Doesn’t Mean Insignificant

It was a big day, a day every newlywed woman dreads, the day you have to stand in line at the DMV to change the name on your driver’s license.  Over Thanksgiving Sam married the man of her dreams, and then with in two weeks found herself at the DMV located in her local shopping mall in Huntsville, Alabama.

Always on the ball and ahead of the game Sam arrived at the DMV 30 minutes before opening time, leaving her first in line to take care of her paperwork.  When the office opened she walked up to the desk to find that she had left her social security documents at the house, which would be an hour long roundtrip adventure, not to mention returning to the Christmas crowd and extended line she was trying to so incredibly hard to avoid.

Like most millennial of our time and age, she voiced her frustration with herself and the situation on Facebook, allowing Facebook to publicize that she was indeed located at Parkway Place Mall.

Standing in line once more at the DMV, Sam happened to notice an unexpected comment on her Facebook status. It was from the management office of Parkway Place, requesting that once Sam had completed her task of a name change, to please come to their office.

So honored, Sam took a photo immediately and posted the story to her Facebook Newsfeed, with the ending note:

Thanks, Parkway Place for turning my Friday around!
Remember folks, it doesn’t take a lot to make someone’s day.

  • How have you made someone’s day this week?
